Bashir Hamid has over sixteen years of experience in the vfx industry both in film/TV as well as commercial projects. His professional career has taken him from conceptual/storyboard artist utilizing traditional fine art skills; to 3D problem-solving complex effects as a technical director; to lead compositor finalizing shots. His credits includes commercial work at the Psyop NY, The Mill NY, Mass Market; visual effects compositing on TV shows such as Marvelous Ms Maisel (season 1-3), The Leftovers (season 2), as well as feature films Edge of Tomorrow (2014), Game of Thrones (season 4 episode 9), Terminator: Genisys (2015), Zoolander 2 (2016), among others.

Huriyyah is an award-winning writer, director and producer whose projects have been invited to the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Institute, AFI, Austin Film Festival, New Voices in Black Cinema, American Black Film Festival and many others. She is recipient of both the 2021 SFFILM Rainin Grant and The Black List Feature Residency for screenwriting, and the 2020 Sundance Creative Producers Award for Farewell Amor, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Huriyyah’s love for Black sci-fi was front and center in her digital series, KELOID, which she wrote and directed, which became a cult favorite – winning multiple Best Digital Series awards at festivals including the prestigious American Black Film Festival in 2019.

Mariam Yasser, is an illustrator and colorist from Egypt who started working professionally in the comic industry in 2019. Before 2019 she was graphic designer and children book illustrator for 5 years. Her work includes colorist credit on “The Ignis quadrant”, “Into the Suck”, “Northwoods”, “Resurection House”, “Darkest Star Dead Eye”, “Coleman Carmichael”, and “Sydney Dossier”. Mariam is currently working on her own graphic novel.

Victoria is currently the Assistant Program Manager of Community College Learning Center. Her background is in History, Language Acquisition, Equity, and World Building. She received her BA from the University of Notre Dame in 2012 and although she is exceptionally versed in academic writing her true passion is for creative writing and poetry. For the past eight years she has also been a writing tutor and editor working in marginalized communities. You can also find Victoria’s work on Black Nerd Problems where she has been staff editor since 2018.

Toyin Ajetunmobi, popularly known by his artistic moniker “Morby”, is a Nigerian Illustrator & Concept Artist. His international career as a visual artist commenced in 2015, following an internship program at Imperial Creations Studios located in Lagos, Nigeria. Morby has achieved wide-ranging recognition through his numerous commissioned and self-initiated art projects.

In 2021, Morby’s illustration series was instrumental in brokering a 10-book contract between Youneek Studios and Dark Horse Entertainment. His art has appeared in notable published graphic novels such as: Malika: Warrior Queen, Windmaker, Hawi and Zufan, working with publishers including Dark Horse entertainment, Youneek studios, Etan comics and Vortex Inc.
